Hey, I’m Shubham.

I first came to Madrid while travelling, and somewhere along the way, the city quietly won me over. The pace, the neighbourhood cafés, the feeling of sitting somewhere warm with no rush.

I’ve always loved two things: Chai and exploring new places. Chai Tío grew naturally from that. It’s my way of sharing the spots in Madrid that made me pause, stay longer, and come back again.

Every place you see here is somewhere I’ve personally been; cafés that feel cosy, bars that don’t try too hard, and corners of the city that feel easy to be in. Some are popular, some are tucked away, but all of them have the kind of atmosphere I look for when I’m out exploring.

One day, I’d love to open my own café, make Chai for a living, and keep travelling. Until then, this is me documenting the journey. One cup, one place at a time.
